David Delruelle, intimate strangers

When we first saw the collages by the Brussels-based artist David Delruelle, they catapulted us into undiscovered universes – situated somewhere between the visible and the imaginary – where we could sail to the moon, climb a stairway to heaven, or hop on a tram for the morning commute to our lunar office.

His Fragments series, by contrast, immersed us in a poetic way in the remnants of a recognizable yet irrevocably lost past.

At Le Brass, the brilliant collagist is presenting a selection from the series that he cut and pasted together between 2013 and 2019. Including some of his Glued Poems, in which he sticks the right words to his visual poetry.
