The Michelin Guide has just unveiled its allocation of stars for the 2013 edition. The illustrious restaurant guide has awarded stars to 124 restaurants in Belgium and Luxemburg, of which 14 are in Brussels. None of the capital’s restaurants was given three stars, but Comme Chez Soi, Sea Grill, and Le Chalet de la Forêt each managed two. Eleven other establishments in Brussels were awarded one star. Previous winners like Bruneau and Senza Nome are joined by newcomers like Vadouxvent in Ukkel/Uccle. This edition also has a new category called “Espoir”, which lists restaurants on the verge of obtaining their first star. That honour has befallen La Villa Lorraine in the city centre. So local gourmets will know where to go over the next year (as long as they have wallets to match their appetites). The new Michelin Guide goes on sale 22 November.
