'Lightyear': Pixar is back with a big-budget popcorn film

Nostalgia warning. In Toy Story, Pixar's historic, first computer animated film, the vintage puppet Sherrif Woody was suddenly no longer Andy's favourite. Instead, the boy was completely captivated by the new-fangled space hero Buzz Lightyear. How could that be? Had he seen this Space Ranger in a sci-fi adventure film? If so, what must that film have looked like?

Angus MacLane did not leave it at wondering, he made that big-budget popcorn film. It is the first Pixar in a long time to be released on the big screen with the previous three pearls all aimed at helping streaming platform Disney+ gain more subscribers.
