Ghetto Philosopher Talib Kweli
Even solo, Talib Kweli is still the committed prisoner of conscious that makes him beloved in both academic and literary circles – his mother is an English professor – as well as on the street.
On his eighth solo album, Radio Silence, which was released last autumn, the erudite, articulate American ghetto philosopher still alternates between activism and militantism, heart and underbelly.
