Noise pop artists Hong Kong Dong play in Les Ateliers Claus

From the moment Hong Kong Dong was founded, now almost ten years ago, nobody has been able to find a suitable category to describe their musical adventures.

KALA KALA, which was released in October, sounds even wackier and stranger than Sweet Sensations, the album with which the synth siblings Boris and Sarah Yu Zeebroek and their guitarist Geoffrey Burton debuted in 2012. At a certain point, you hear Sarah singing about boys, while she’s actually referring to the artist (Joseph) Beuys. These kinds of jokes are entirely consonant with their occasionally surrealistic sound universe, which sends you barking up the wrong tree with equal pleasure.
