On 12, 13, and 14 October the Dansaert area turns into the scene for the 12th Modo Parcours (fashion trail). 75 shops and galleries have teamed up with fashion designers who will be showcasing some of their work. This year, the Modo Parcours is an all-Belgian one themed Fashionalism. Inspired by the economical crisis and the recent loss of some great Belgian fashion icons (think Christophe Coppens and Luc Duchêne), designers were asked to think about their true fashion identity and let this reflect in their creations. A few big names on the program: Raf Simons at STIJL, Bruno Pieters at Haleluja, and also scheduled, the long awaited opening of the Marc by Marc Jacobs store!
Another novelty this edition is the addition of a guest country. Modo Brussels chose the Netherlands, as they are part of the current project High Fashion Low Countries. There will be an exhibition with the works of six designers from Belgium and the Netherlands at the future MAD Brussels centre. And last but not least, for the first time the event is completely free of charge.
