When was the last time you wore clothes that fit really well? Something that was made especially for you? With an exclusive "Magritte collection", Café Costume is opening their seventh Belgian shop, and the second one in our capital.

Modern (young) men nowadays opt for slow fashion, custom-made and the work of craftsmen. What more evidence could be needed than the opening of yet another Café Costume shop? Their new location is uptown on place Albert Leemansplein in Elsene/Ixelles, just off Louizalaan/avenue Louise. The corner building with two large fitting rooms has plenty of natural light. The interior, with minimalist wood panelling, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, carpets, plants, and a chesterfield couch, looks almost transported from the Mad Men set. Make an appointment and the team will create a personal look for you over a cup of coffee. You're not only buying a suit here; you're buying a whole "experience."

The now famous Belgian brand offers a menu of different cuts, fabrics, linings, and even buttons. From classical to eccentric, from businessman to bridegroom – the combinations are endless. You can complete your look with a range of accessories: a hat, gloves, sneakers, cufflinks, a bowtie, a tie clip, a leather belt, or a classic handkerchief that you can fold into a "presidential" or "Astaire". Braces are also a notable detail and they are very popular at the moment. This concept caters to what every man wants: everything you need in one shop. Prices for your unique, tailor-made suit start from 590 euro. Craftsmanship, creativity, and tradition are the perfect mix that is the trademark of Café Costume.

In the past, the brand has regularly collaborated with various designers and artists. This time, the exclusive collection has a very Brussels touch with the work of René Magritte. "The request to collaborate around Magritte's work was a godsend," creative director Bruno Van Gils tells us. "The classic suit looks completely normal from the outside, but the surrealist surprise is on the inside. It's great to be able to work with our Belgian heritage." Artworks have been transformed into luxurious, colourful linings. The Castle of the Pyrenees, the famous work with the floating rock, has also been turned into refined cufflinks using 3D printing.
Gentlemen, there are no more excuses not to be exquisitely dressed.
