Plausibility and credibility are not the strong suits of the Neil Jordan thriller Greta. A young waitress (Chloë Grace Moretz) who has lost her mother becomes entangled in the web of a lonely French pianist with a beautiful house in New York.

The role of the completely unhinged, vicious harridan is played by Isabelle Huppert, who visibly enjoys the grotesque. All the other characters are just filler. Not a brilliant genre film, but a successful one nonetheless.
