In the controversial New Order, which won an award in Venice, Michel Franco lets a revolt of poor against rich degenerate into blood, chaos and an Orwellian dystopia. In his detached, anti-sentimental style, the Mexican confronts you with gang rapes, summary executions, torture, blind vindictiveness and human torches.
