As the self-proclaimed “Chinese chick in a tight dress with a Puerto Rican booty”, Yuja Wang has managed to break all stereotypes that persist around classical pianists. But let’s not make that a reason to talk more about her derrière than her incredible technique.

She’ll start with Shostakovich second concerto, but the highlight of her debut in Bozar’s Henry Le Boeuf Hall will undoubtedly be Ravel’s challenging Piano Concerto for the Left Hand. A staple in her repertoire since she recorded the piece for Deutsche Grammophon in 2015 and for which she’ll only be using five of her notorious flying fingers.
