Musicians Hasan Falih (on qanun) and Khaled Mohamed Ali (on oud) are masters of improvisation. Their elegant string playing whisks you away to the cafés, alleys, and minarets of Baghdad, to the tones of classical, instrumental Iraqi maqam music, typical Arabian classical music with its melodic improvisations.
Music that will whisk you away to Bagdad
They both play in the orchestra of Kadim Al-Saher, a very well-known Iraqi composer and songwriter. In addition, they have won numerous awards for their own music, studies and poems have been written about it, and they have performed in the Royal Albert Hall. An evening of uplifting atmospheres is an unmissable part of their oeuvre.
