Hidden away in Sint-Joost/Saint-Josse, Les 4 Jeudis offers a 100% vegan set menu (€16.50). The decor is warm and unpretentious, and the service is friendly.

The starter, a salad with carrot, Chinese cabbage, and seaweed, was delicious, thanks to the smooth celeriac cream and a peanut and ginger vinaigrette to give it an “exotic” taste. The Chaga lemonade (€4), made with mushrooms, was an excellent accompaniment.
The main course: two balls of lentil sprouts, smoky quinoa, and a pretty millefeuille of butternut, beetroot, and celeriac with a courgette and rosemary cream. We didn’t have enough room left for dessert, gluten-free chocolate cake.
