The 6-year-old boy from Sint-Joost-Ten-Node who had to stand for 15 hours on a freezing bacony on Boxing Day, dressed in his pajamas, is no longer in critical condition. That has been confirmed by the office of the Brussels public prosecutor. His parents are still detained on charges of torture.
The 6-year-old boy from Sint-Joost-ten-Node had been punished by his parents, who had called an ambulance on the evening of December 26th when they noticed the boy on the balcony had lost consciousness. He was admitted to the hospital with severe hypothermia. There, it was discovered that he also showed signs of starvation. His condition had been critical for days, but now, his life is no longer in danger.
His parents - his mother and 21-year-old stepfather - have been arrested and will stay in custody on charges of torture.
