The Flemish minister for Brussels, Pascal Smet, is calling for the introduction of cycle paths along the train tracks. Their construction would cost 60 million euros. He presented his idea during a debate with Didier Reynders at the VUB. The debate was organised at the occasion of the upcoming May elections. Both men tried to present themselves as politicians with a long-tem plan for Brussels.
