A citizen initiative on Josaphat site: '32 football fields with some private housing'

Several Brusselaars want to turn one of the last open sites in the capital, the Josaphat site in Schaarbeek en Evere, to become a model project. They opted for a collective ownership of the ground. 'If the government wants to sell public property, it will benefit people who already have money. We want this space to stay the property of Brusselaars who really need it.'
