The young people who created the platform Free 54 are young people who have been meeting for years on St Katelijne plein, hence the name 54 (Cinq-quatre). Last year, they lost a large part of their square to the benefit of the restaurant terraces. The benches which were on that side of the square were removed. In reaction, the young people carried out many actions.
