La Parla at Full Circle Brussels: 'People open up when you speak their native language'

The concept behind La Parla is simple. All participants write on their name cards what languages they speak. If someone's card says Italian and you want to practise that language, you can start a conversation. "Once my friend said: I'm trying to learn Mandarin, but I probably won't find anyone. As it turned out, two other people wanted to speak Mandarin that night. I was surprised, but it was wonderful to see."
