Aya Suzuki developed a passion for percussion at high school and studied classical music in Tokyo. After completing a master's degree in percussion in Ghent, she moved to Brussels. Here she not only plays percussion, but also combines it with other instruments and improvisation, discovering more and more freedom in her music. "Next season I will be composing music for a theatre piece by the Needcompany. So that's my new challenge: to compose music for a whole performance."
