Sixteen years ago, translator and interpreter Frans De Clercq founded the Art Base art gallery and concert space. He can sometimes be seen playing there with his group the Kosmokrators. "This place focuses on world music and classical music. Usually it's tango, flamenco, Greek music, Turkish music, Azeri music, Iranian music or Indian music."
