Shantytown discovered in Laken: 'This is just the tip of the iceberg'

Along the railroad between Laken and Jette, a real shantytown was built. Approximately 50 Romanians built houses there using wood and iron scraps. The Romanians first lived in an abandoned factory along Jules Lahayestraat, but had to leave when the building was demolished.
