The history of the British band Queen and its eccentric frontman provides more than enough material for a great story, but Bryan Singer doesn’t offer us any more than a polished hagiography with a ridiculous lack of sex, drugs, or rock ‘n’ roll and a ridiculous excess of admiration for Freddie Mercury.
Fans can take heart at the performance from Rami Malek and some anecdotes about the origins of classics like “We Will Rock You” and “Bohemian Rhapsody”.
The others will feel as impoverished as a Bohemian.
