In her directorial debut, TV actress Jordana Spiro (Ozark) does everything by the book, but that is not a problem.
Dominique Fishback (The Deuce) gives an impressive performance as an eighteen-year-old who gets hold of a gun as soon as she is released from a juvenile detention centre, so that she can take revenge on the man who killed her mother. Will she realize in time that this will destroy her future, or whatever is left of it? The refined and tender cinematography softens this reflection of a hard world.
