Guillaume Canet scored a French blockbuster with Les petits mouchoirs. The portrait of a group of Parisian friends on holiday in Cap Ferret benefited from the combination of a smile and a tear, paradisiacal France, an energetic cast, and an expensive soundtrack.
Nous finirons ensemble presents the characters again, nine years older, slightly less riotous, but still just as flamboyant. And unfortunately also superfluous, caricatural, and often exhausting. A reunion that we could have done without.
