Agnès Varda passed away at the end of March. The 90-year-old director from Ixelles had just finished making the testament of her youth, which she presented at the Berlin Film Festival.
Varda par Agnès offers an extensive reflection on her work in a series of causeries, film fragments, and archival images. Varda talks analytically, pointedly, and captivatingly about what it was like to film in those days, the ideas behind certain camera movements, her love of painting, and how film and reality can cross-pollinate one another.
