In a snowed-in hangar in the countryside, a group of dancers have just completed the shoot of a music video. So it’s time to party.
But somebody sneaks too many drugs into the sangria, and things quickly get out of hand. Losing control can result in appalling ideas and very primitive behaviour. That’s about as deep as the insights of enfant terrible Gaspar Noé go.
So what? Climax is all about the titillating depiction of the orgy of dance, drugs, horniness, and panic that leads to total chaos. This film is an overwhelming trip, and the music by Aphex Twin, Daft Punk, and Giorgio Moroder intensifies the trance. Watch it on the big screen, but stay away from the sangria.
