The menu is extensive and focused on Spanish meat: hot and cold cuts, pork, beef, etc.
Our starter, pata negra ham with tonnato sauce (€12), was simple but delightful: three roulades of cooked ham stuffed with rocket and sprinkled with a tuna jus.
The main course, la presa (€22), a cut of pork, melted in the mouth, cooked perfectly to retain its texture and nutty flavour. Crisp and golden, the chips were perfect. As was the dame blanche
(€8) made with melted Chokotoffs.
There were two things missing: more inventive vegetable accompaniments and a wine list reflecting the evolution of Spanish producers. We were nonetheless very impressed.
