Café Congo is a place in Anderlecht where artists come together and where collaborations arise spontaneously. Recently the event 'Fearing the black body: the racial origins of fatphobia' was organised there, in collaboration with Black History Month Belgium, VUB-Crosstalks and VUB-RHEA. Writers of African descent discussed the racial roots of fatphobia and the difference in perception between being fat in a white or black body.
