Katelijn Verstraete lived in China and Singapore for more than 20 years and now works as a freelance consultant in the cultural world. "My best friends in China were artists. And I went to exhibitions, got to know people. Then, together with an Italian and a Chinese, I decided to set up an independent art space: BizArt. We converted an old factory in Shanghai and organised a lot of exhibitions and exchanges for young Chinese artists."
