Emily is originally from the US, but came to Brussels nine years ago as an au pair and just fell in love with the city. When she was pregnant with her first child, she became a member of the Brussels Childbirth Trust, where she attended prenatal courses. Most municipalities have their own local associations to bring families into contact with each other. And this was particularly useful during the lockdown, when Emily, together with other mothers, organised online workshops, singing and dancing classes to help children see their friends.
