'Lukas' : JCVD out of shape

Jean-Claude Van Damme once forced us onto our knees with astounding leaps through the air and mawashi geris. The new film Lukas tries to relive the glory days of the Muscles from Brussels

He plays a bouncer who has to raise his eight-year-old daughter by himself. The French police and Flemish-Brussels mafia try to make him do something that he doesn’t want to do but he is very good at it: fighting to the death.

Unfortunately, rather than elevating this sombre action film, JCVD just brings it down
