DG Translation: 'We sometimes invent new Irish terms'

BRUZZ International visits the translation service of the European Commission. It has about 700 translators in Brussels and about 1,000 translators in Luxembourg. "Working here at the same level as French, German, Italian and Spanish - and using our minority language, which was historically disadvantaged and oppressed - is really special for the Irish speakers here, and for everyone in the Irish department."
